The grassroot development organisation, Ebunlobinrin Foundation, hosted 1500 women at it’s  “ASA WA” Women in Position Conference in Ogun State of Nigeria. This event took place at June 12 Cultural Center, Kuto Abeokuta, on the 14thday of December 2017.

According to Queen Okoya, “ASA WA” was packaged by the Foundation to sensitize, and educate women on importance of Moral and Values. The colourful event was well attended by popular entertainment artists, theater groups, production companies, business corporations, government departments, traditional institutions and other stakeholders.

Some of the Speakers were Hon. (Mrs) Abiola Kufile Okonji (Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief (Dr.) Anuoluwapo A.Bankole (Proprietress, Mercy Land Group of School) and Mrs Olajumoke Olatunde (Veteran Nollywood Actress, Popularly Known as Jumoke George).

The conference deliberated extensively on issues such as government’s role in values reorientation, modeling, and the role of women in reshaping culture to enhance modern society.

IfeOluwa Adeola of Olabisi Onabanjo University was unveiled as the maiden Ambassador of “ASA WA” and won the coveted grand prize of One Million Naira (N1,000,000).

Commenting the event, Chief Muyiwa Oladipupo, Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism lauded Ebunlobinrin Foundation for touching the important issues, and urged the Foundation to  continue her effort of empowering women intellectually.
