Senator Abiru Becomes Southern Forum Leader

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru has been elected at the Chairman of Southern Senators Forum. This was disclosed in a statement made available to our correspondents.

Senator Abiru is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions. He was unanimously elected by 54 Senators from the 17 Southern states, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is expected that his experience as a banker of repute will be brought to bear on activities of the Forum and the entire region.
